Lapel Pins and Magnet Pens

American Promotions realizes that meeting critical deadlines is crucial for the success of your business! We monitor orders that must be in-hand by a certain date very carefully.

One of our clients ordered some magnet pens that needed to be to him quickly. It was mandatory for the logoed product to arrive on time for their event or the product would be of no use to our client. American Promotions was having difficulty getting a proof from the magnet pen vendor so we made several phone calls to remind our vendor of the urgency of meeting this mandatory in-hand date. We pleased our client by actually getting the product to them one day early.

Another time we had a large, high dollar value order of precious metal lapel pins that needed to be to our client’s convention. Due to unforeseen problems that arose processing this order, we could tell that the order was not going to arrive on time. In order to meet the promised deadline, the president of American Promotions made the decision to fly to the lapel pin manufacturer to pick up the precious metal lapel pins and then hop on another plane to meet our customer at his convention. Our client was so pleased with our service that they have remained a customer for the past 10 years.

Butter Mints

Our client's goal is to set himself apart from his competition. His new business' expertise of oil changes and emission tests needed to create an atmosphere that would bring his patrons back again and again. With some thought, our client decided to make an experience for his clientele while waiting for their oil changes. He bought an oven to bake cookies in so while the patrons wait for their oil changes, they can snack on cookies while watching TV or reading magazines. The cookies have been a tasty hit. An added benefit is the aroma of fresh baked cookies that permeates throughout the store.

Their competition generally leaves an air freshener in the vehicle so to be unique our client leaves a luscious butter mint wrapped in a white wrapper with a red heart and a tag line that says, "We Love our Customers".

The client's business is doing great thanks to fresh baked cookies and luscious, logoed butter mints.

Imprinting Polycarbonate Water Bottles

We have imprinted several colors of polycarbonate water bottles. We have found that our customers are happiest with a white imprint on darker colors and a dark imprint on lighter colors. The contrast between the dark and light colors creates a look that catches the eye of the onlooker.

One of our client's wanted a smoky colored water bottle with a maroon logo, but unfortunately, when they arrived the maroon logo more or less disappeared in to the smoky colored polycarbonate water bottle. Now we always show a sample of the polycarb water bottle to our other clients so they can see first hand what happens when the imprint color does not contrast with the color of the poly water bottle.

Quikey Customer Service

One of our military clients, ordered 1,000 hummer magnets to promote students to join the army. When the client received the proof, they realized that this item would not fit with their department standards. We called our vendor, Quikey, to tell them we would need to cancel the order due our client's department specification requirements. Quikey was considerate and kind even though they had taken the time to prepare artwork for customer approval. We appreciate working with vendors like Quikey who realize the importance of versatility.

A few weeks earlier, another client requested an order cancellation due to unforeseen budget restraints. Our vendor, Prime, charged us $12 proof fee and a cancellation fee of $24. In the ten years we have been in business, this is the first time we had witnessed a cancellation fee. We appreciate that 99% of the vendors we work with are considerate about unforeseen changes.

Spinner Keychain House

We have an item on our website called the Spinner Keychain House. This keychain is ideal for industries such as real estate, title and escrow or mortgage companies.

One of our customers, who works for a title and escrow business, ordered these keychains and was very happy with them. A few months later, she wanted to do a repeat order of these same keychains. The supplier we receive these house keychains from was out of stock, so we went to a different supplier who had what we thought was the same keychain.

Although the keychains looked the same, they didn't spin as easily and were much stiffer; our customer wasn't quite as satisfied with the new keychains.

When the time came for a third repeat order of the Spinner Keychain House, we were able to get them from our original supplier. Our customer was happy to get the preferred spinner house keychain again.

SWEDA Snuggle Pens

Are you aware that there are four Sweda snuggle pens that look just alike? Here is a list of the item numbers:

PB 7200 Highest quality

We had some confusion on a order because we were unaware that there are four snuggle pens that look the same, but are different weights and values. Beware so you don't order the wrong Sweda snuggle pen.

Checkbook Cover

We recently had a customer who was looking for a unique idea to throw out to spectators at a parade. Once she decided to imprint her company logo on checkbook covers, she was unable to find any at an affordable price.

She was thrilled when she found the exact checkbook cover she had been looking for on our website at an affordable price.

We sent her a sample checkbook cover to be sure it was what she wanted and she chose a variety of colors to order.

Our customer was satisfied with the product and is excited to see the reaction she gets at the upcoming parade.

Desk Organizer

We had a customer who recently ordered an acrylic translucent blue desk organizer that holds pens and paper clips, etc. She saw the image on our website and although her co-workers really liked it, our customer wasn't completely sure it was what she wanted.

She went ahead and ordered some, thinking if she didn't like them she wouldn't order any more in the future.

After her logo was printed on them and the desk organizers arrived at her office, she emailed us the following comment: "We received the desk organizers and they are absolutely beautiful!!!!!!"

SWEDA

We ordered 500 Sweda pen, item PB2626 (formerly the PB2929) for a client. These pens are produced in China and generally take ten working days to produce. Because of some quality control problems, Sweda delayed the shipment of this pen. After the pens had been delayed an extra two weeks, we let Sweda know that our client needed the pens and could not wait any longer for the quality control problem to be resolved.

Sweda said they would be happy to produce the pens in the U.S. and suggested a couple of other similar pens that would be nice replacements. Although the replacement pen our client chose, item PB1572 was more expensive than the PB2626 pen, Sweda did not charge an extra fee.

Our client received the pens within a week, and they actually liked the replacement pen better than the original pen they had ordered.

We had a customer who was looking for soccer related items to imprint her logo on before the 2006 World Cup. We recommended the Soccer Ball Stress Toy. Not only is this a unique item that can relieves stress, but it is also a fun item to place on your desk to keep your company name in the forefront of your customer's minds.

House Clip Magnet

A customer wanted some white House Clip Magnets to promote her title company. She chose to print her logo in two different colors on the white clip. When she received the clip magnets, they were gray instead of white and she wasn't satisfied with the way her logo looked on the gray clip.

We took this item, GP105, off our website and replaced it with a different House Clip Magnet that was actually white instead of gray.

Bungee Rockets

A client chose to lighten up Power Point boring meetings with American Promotions' pull back, take aim and let them fly bungee rockets.

American Promotions followed up to see if the bungee rockets enabled this client to achieve their goal:

"The bungee rockets were a big hit with our sales team. They definitely achieved my objective to lighten up many days of PowerPoint boring meetings. My colleagues are still shooting them around the office..."

Leather Padfolios to Reward Employees

A client needed an item that would reward their employees for goals achieved. After browsing the American Promotions website, they chose a Leeds leather padfolio. Leeds padfolios organizers are excellent quality with reliable stitching at a pleasing price.

American Promotions followed up with a phone call to the client a few months after the padfolio order was made to see if the leather padfolios gave their employees the incentive to reach their goals. They responded:
