Credit Cards or Debit Cards

I just found out from a financial advisor that it is not a good idea to carry debit cards in your purse or wallet. Here is why.

If someone steals your debit card and uses it, it is your responsibility to prove that your debit card was stolen and used. But if a credit card is stolen, the credit card company is liable and has to prove that someone else used your card. I am playing it safe; I now carry only credit cards.

By the way, another perk for using a credit card is that if you pay off your balance in full each month, your credit score will actually increase, and we all know that higher credit scores equal lower interest rates.
