A Sweet Moment for a Mother

This past Sunday my 18 year son was asked to speak in church on faith before leaving on his mission to Mozambique, Africa. His growth and development since his last talk a few months ago amazed me. I felt overjoyed as I heard my son liken a scripture story, that I read to him as a child, unto himself and me, his mother.

There is a story in the Book of Mormon about 2000 young, courageous men. They were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted. Yea, they were men of truth and soberness, for they had been taught to keep the commandments of God and to walk uprightly before him.

...They had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.

...Behold they were firm and undaunted. Yea they did obey and observe to perform every word of command with exactness; yea, and even according to their faith it was done unto them; and I did remember the words which they said unto me that their mothers had taught them. (Alma 57:20,21)

My son said, "I am especially thankful for my mom who taught me to have faith. I am unsure how many people I will help on my mission, but I feel this is where I need to be at this time in my life."

It was a Sweet Moment for a Mother.

Sunglass Visor Clips

I think I buy sunglasses at least once a year, and probably twice a year because I lose or break them. I have often thought, I need to find something to clip them to. While attending the ASI show in Las Vegas, I discovered the sunglass visor clip. I ordered one on the spot, and I love it as much as I thought I would.

This visor clip is perfect for keeping sunglasses safe and out of the way, but handily available to find. I am no longer frustrated that I can't find my sunglasses, or that I broke my glasses.
I no longer squint as I drive into the evening and morning sun because I can easily find my sunglasses safely clipped to the visor.

Add a logo to the sunglass visor clip to advertise a favorite company name to remind those who ride in your car of products and services you endorse.

Retractable Key Badges

Someone once said, "Find a need and fill it." Someone else saw the need to have a better, safer, more convenient way to handle keys so he came up with the retractable key badge. People have been enjoying the convenience of the retractable key badge ever since.

Clip'em on and enjoy free use of both hands. To me, "clipped" means "attached so it won't get lost". I am notoriously known for losing my keys, and my husband often reminds me, "Clip them or lose them!"

Pull'em, and when you are done, let go and WahLah your keys quickly retract back.........thus named the retractable key badge.

Choose from squares, circles, triangles and even heart shaped retractable badges. Add your logo, and everyone will be reminded of your company name and services while using this nifty little gadget.

USB Drives

These little fellows go by several names: jump drive, thumb drive, USB drive, memory stick, and a flash drive.

Flash drives are offered in the most chic styles in a variety of colors and sizes. Memory starts at 64 MB and is offered as high as 4GB.

I found a USB drive manufacturer that does not charge setups. They also offer printing on both sides of the drive with no added cost if the imprint is the same for both sides. This manufacturer is reliable and gives great service.

Due to the price fluctuation on this type of item, I suggest getting a quote because it will save you money! Prices tend to go down on these, and I have found listed pricing is higher than quoted pricing because vendors must mark their prices higher to allow for price fluctuation that occurs in this market.

Logoed Umbrellas

Yesterday and today it has been raining in Utah. I enjoy walking in the rain as long as I have an umbrella. Of course since I work in the promotional product industry, I notice logos wherever I go. I realized when I see umbrellas pop up during a rainstorm that they are a perfect item to advertise your logo in larger sizes and brighter colors at ball games, on the street, or at the fair.

We just had a client whose corporate logo is yellow and navy blue, add their logo in navy blue on the front yellow panel of a navy blue and yellow umbrella. Choosing an umbrella that follows the color theme of your logo will make an impression that will be remembered by onlookers long after the umbrella is stored on clear dry days.

By the way, you may not want to tuck your logoed umbrella away in a storage closet when it is hot and sunny. Umbrellas are the perfect tool to stay cool and comfortable during those hot summer outdoor concerts and activities.

Throwing Imprinted Footballs at a Wedding

Have you ever heard of throwing imprinted footballs instead of flowers, rice, or confetti at a wedding? Me neither! A patron ordered blue footballs with an imprint in yellow script font writing something like this:

Dick and Jane
Playing for Keeps
March 3, 2007

What a cool, original idea! I'll bet once people catch a mini football at this wedding, they will want to throw something awesome and original at their wedding, or their children's wedding.

I wish I could be there to see the response of the audience when the footballs fly into the arms of friends and loved ones. Congratulations and Best Wishes to the Bride and Groom!
